Cornamona is a village and townland in Co Galway. Located in the Gaeltacht area, the village lies to the north of Lough Corrib in the middle of the Joyce Country Mountain and Lake districts. It is around 54km north west of Galway City and 13km west of Cong on the Galway/Mayo border. The area is popular among trout and salmon anglers and is one of the most scenic areas in Ireland. There is a national school in the village while the local secondary school is Coláiste Naomh Feichín, Corr na Móna. The village also has a shop and pub, as well as a number of B&Bs.
