Clonmany
Clonmany is a village to the north west of the Inishowen Peninsula in Co Donegal. The area has many local beauty spots and is just 2km from Ballyliffin and all its amenities. Although the village itself is the youngest in Inishowen, the Clonmany area is steeped in history, and dolmens, forts and standing stones dot the landscape. Located along the R238, local amenities include a church, shop, post office, Garda Station, pharmacy, hairdressers, pubs and shops. Clonmany has four primary schools with secondary schools being provided for in Carndonagh or Buncrana. Clonmany is host to the annual McGlinchey summer school, which attracts many visitors to its exhibitions and lectures on local history. Another attraction is the Clonmany festival, held annually during the week of the Irish August public holiday.
