Castletroy
Castletroy is a suburb of Limerick City. It is the largest suburb in Munster having engulfed the old villages of Annacotty and Monaleen in recent years with the creation of the University of Limerick adding to its growth. Castletroy contains a wide selection of pubs and shops, as well as three primary schools, a secondary school and a number of hotels. It is also home to the Milford and Monaleen GAA clubs. There is also a golf club in the area. The local shopping centre off the Dublin Road at Kilmurray Roundabout, extends to some 90,000 square feet (8,400 m2) and includes a SuperValu supermarket and 24 mall shops, a McDonald's restaurant and an eight-screen cinema. There is also a Lidl in the area as well as a park which includes a children's playground and skatepark. The National Technology Park is also home to some major employers.
