Caragh Lake is a large and scenic lake in Co Kerry. The lake is included within a large Special Area of Conservation which also includes Killarney National Park, the Macgillcuddy Reeks and Caragh River Catchment. The lake is glacial in origin and is surrounded by the likes of Caragh Bridge, Islandboy, Gortreagh and Oulagh. The residential area of Caragh Lake is to the north of the lake itself and is located just off the N70 ring of Kerry road. The town of Killorglin is around 10km away.
