Caherdaniel is a village in Co Kerry. It is located on the Iveragh peninsula on the Ring of Kerry. It is on the southwestern side of the peninsula, facing onto Derrynane Bay at a junction on the N70 road. A stone ringfort is nearby, as is Derrynane House, which was home to Daniel O'Connell. The area is well known for its fishing and for its views overlooking Derrynane Harbour, Scariff and Deenish Islands, Kenmare Bay and the vast Atlantic Ocean. The village itself on the old butter road is in the heart of the Kerry Way. Local amenities include restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops, B&Bs and a host of outdoor activities including guided walks and an equestrian centre.
