Blacklion is a village in west Co Cavan. It is situated on the N16 national primary route, just across the border from the Co Fermanagh village of Belcoo. The village is within the townload of Tuam and is situated between the lakes of Upper and Lower Lough MacNean on the main Sligo to Enniskillen road. Blacklion is also just 5km from the border of Co Leitrim. The town is a stop on the Bus Éireann Sligo-Manorhamilton-Enniskeen Expressway route 66. Local attractions include the Marble Arch Cabes, the Cladagh Glen Nature Reserve, Florence Court house and grounds, Glenfarne Forest, Shannon Pot and Cuilcagh Mountain Park. Blacklion also has a nine-hole golf course and is well known for its fishing. It is also well known for MacNean House, the restaurant run by celebrity chef Neven Maguire.
