Ballyliffin is a small village in Co Donegal. It is located at the north western tip of the Inishowen Peninsula, overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and Malin Head. Just over 2km from Clonmany and less than 10km west of Carndonagh, it is known for its natural beauty with the village being surrounded by Pollan Strand, Binion hill and Crockaughrim hill. Given its scenic nature and its beach nearby, there are numerous hotels and B&Bs in the area, as well as a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. A small island off Pollan Bay called Glashedy is located roughly one mile off the coast. Ballyliffin also has two 18 hole golf courses. There is also a primary school, Rasheney NS, in the village.
