Ballylanders is a village in south Co Limerick. It is situated on the R513 Mitchelstown to Limerick regional road and is approximately 14km from Mitchelstown in Co Cork and 44km from Limerick City. Local amenities include a church, shop/filling station, holy well, national school, credit union and selection of other shops and pubs. Meanwhile, Griston Bog, on the west side of the village, is a noted nature reserve and bird sanctuary which is home to numerous birds, insects and plants. There is also a GAA team and soccer team in the village with the latter boasting a 30,000sqm facility comprising a clubhouse, two full-size playing pitches and a full-size floodlit training pitch. There is also an amenity walk around it.
