Ahascragh
Ahascragh is a village in east Galway. It is located 11km north-west of Ballinasloe on the Ahascragh/Bunowen River, a tributary of the River Suck. The R358 regional road passes through the village. There are five pubs in the village, several hairdressers, two undertakers and an auctioneers. There is also Londis and Mace convenience stores, as well as a primary school. Fishing is also popular in the area on the Bunowen River, which is known for its wild brown trout.
