Adare is a village in Co Limerick. It is situated 16km from Limerick City on the River Maigue. Designated as a Heritage Town by the Irish Government, it attracts many tourists throughout the year and boasts a heritage centre and a number of craft shops. As well as a selection of pubs, shops and restaurants, Adare also has two 18 hole golf courses, Adare Golf Club and Adare Manor Golf Club, a pitch and putt course and an equestrian centre, Clonshire. There are three hotels in the village as well as four primary schools. Adare is situated on the N21 Limerick to Tralee Road and is a stop on Bus Éireann's Limerick-Tralee/Killarney bus service and Dublin Coach's Dublin-Tralee/Killarney service. Both run hourly. There are a number of sports clubs in the area including a GAA club, soccer club and cricket club.
