The cottage can sleep five people in a four poster, king-size double room, a further double, a single room, and a family bathroom. There is a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and throughout, wooden beams, stone walls and beautiful original features. Outside there is a private courtyard with seating for two and roadside parking with unrestricted parking in the village centre. The Tudor Rose is a wonderful holiday base for exploring Somerset, all year round. Area The historic, medieval Somerset village of Montacute is four miles from Yeovil and most well known for the National Trust's impressive Montacute House, a stunning Elizabethan mansion built for Sir Edward Phelips, the prosecutor of Guy Fawkes. The village centre and conservation area features an array of picturesque hamstone cottages, two thriving pubs, a Post Office, and a fascinating radio and television museum. With ancient Sherborne and the scenic Dorset coastline both easily accessible, you will find that a week is not nearly long enough to enjoy everything on offer within a short drive of this lovely Somerset village!
