The remains of a monument to St. Brendan may be found on Inishnee, a small island in Roundstone Bay, and the bell tower of the Franciscan Monastery can be seen in the Michael Killeen Park. Gurteen and Dog's Bay beaches are only a 5-minute drive away, while other nearby activities include horseback riding, deep sea fishing, hill walking, and cycling.
