Description(Reference number: 76476)
There’s something uplifting about adding a slick of red lipstick or putting on a bright red hat. Which is how we know you’re sure to find joy in this historic, crimson clapboard home in the centre of Charleston. And while it looks fresh from the Gone With The Wind set (the film was famously set here), the old-school charm of the exterior stops at the front door. The inside is cool and contemporary with thoughtful design details. As Scarlett O’Hara was a woman with discerning taste, we know she would have fallen for the luxurious, elegant design. There are plush light grey sofas (perfect for the odd swoon) in all three living rooms, full bathtubs, marble basins in the bathrooms (plus plenty of light to nail those red lips), and three immaculate kitchens – but give it some Scarlett-style attitude and get someone else to do the cooking, eh? In the garden there’s a hammock and neat set of table and chairs – the ideal spot for putting together a Gone With The Wind itinerary. Don't miss Boone Hall Plantation, which was the inspiration for Tara. Frankly my dears, you're going to have a splendid time.
*This home can be split into three separate units, so guests can enjoy their own private living and dining space
*There are three double sofa beds available – one in each of the three living rooms
*You can smoke outside this home, but make sure you’re at least 10ft from any windows or doors
