Area Resting in the heart of the vast rolling Sussex countryside is the quaint market town of Heathfield, renowned for its Spring welcoming festival, Heffle Cuckoo Fair, where you can expect a variety of activities such as Morris dancing, music, a funfair, a carnival parade, and the traditional releasing of a cuckoo by Dame Heffle. Heathfield is also home to the popular tourist attraction of The Cuckoo Trail which forms part of the National Cycle Route Network Route 21, a 14-mile shared path between Heathfield and Eastbourne, for cyclists and walkers of any age with horses allowed to join on certain sections of the path.
