The telescope, which makes both birdwatching and stargazing a dream. When you're ready to venture out and about, Rethymno is about 15 kilometres away – the Venetian harbour, 19th-century lighthouse, and traditional tavernas make it an ideal day trip. You're also a fifteen-minute drive from a sandy beach.
