In a pleasant Surrey location, with wonderful far reaching views over fields to the rear, this light, spacious, semi-detached home is the ideal base from which to explore the area. Located close to Dorking, which has many shops, eateries and pubs, it stands within a small friendly village between Beare Green and Holmwood, which has a small parade of shops, railway station (London can be reached within an hour) and library. There is a lovely community spirit, and the local residents have funded a playground with swings and slides, as well as a basketball area, ideal for children!
Inside the house is a large entrance hall with cloakroom/toilet, which leads to a superb, tastefully furnished, open plan living space with parquet floor, wood burner and folding doors, which extend the width of the whole room. This leads onto a large decked area with seating and gas barbecue, ideal for al fresco dining, and there are steps down to an extensive garden with rattan furniture and large chiminea. Deer, pheasants, badgers and various birds can be observed in the garden and the fields beyond. At the end of the garden is a log cabin, which the owner very occasionally visits (separate access).
There are extensive walks in the area, and within a short drive is Box Hill (known for walking and cycling) and orienteering. Leith Hill and tower, a popular National Trust site and one of the south of Englandâ€™s highest points, is close by.
