This lovely, end-terrace period town house is perfectly located for guests who want the convenience of a central cathedral city location. You will be able to stroll in to town, enjoy the wide choice of restaurants, theatre, cinema, museum and shops, and forget about the car. There is also a main line railway service just a 5-minute walk from the property with services to Newquay, Falmouth and St Ives.
This quirky town house provides comfortable accommodation for four guests in two spacious double bedrooms, and is ideal for couples looking for a city break with the added advantage of being a short drive from both the surfing coast to the north, or the sailing waters to the south.
The busy port and marine town of Falmouth is a 30-minute drive and has prestigious marinas, a harbour, Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum. It hosts an excellent calendar of events including those connected with sailing, food, music and culture.
In the other direction towards St Austell, you can visit the Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Worth a visit, too, is the historic harbour at Charlestown and the quaint quay at Mevagissey. Enjoy the surfing beaches at Newquay, and with easy access to the A30, you can reach the far west to visit Penzance, the historic town of Marazion (with St Michaels Mount rising from the sea on its rocky outcrop), the fishing port at Newlyn and the quaint harbour at Mousehole.
The area is popular with cyclists, and there is an old tramway cycle trail running from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south coast, with cycle hire available locally. If you wish to bring your own bikes there is space in the hallway to store them.
