Situated in County Roscommon, Fort Cottage is a lovely family holiday home at all times of the year.
The village of Cootehall is situated in County Roscommon halfway between the towns of Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon on the banks of the Boyle River and the shores of Oakport Lough. Cootehall is home to a local shop and pub and also a picturesque marina. Home to excellent angling opportunities, Cootehall is also a wonderful location for water activities including cruising, kayaking and wind surfing. Attractions include the Arigna Mining Experience, Arigna Scenic Drive, Strokestown House and Gardens, Lough Key Forest and Activity Park, Carrowkeel Ancient Passage Tombs, Boyle Abbey, and the town of Carrick-on-Shannon where you take a boat trip along the River Shannon or enjoy the wonderful selection of shops, pubs and cafes. Further afield are the sandy beaches of County Sligo, the charming town of Westport and Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way home to breathtaking coastlines. A wonderful choice for touring this part of the emerald isle.
