Description(Reference number: 76471)
Charleston’s pastel-coloured historic houses are one of the port city’s most distinctive features and they don’t come much prettier than this downtown home. Filled with vintage charm, sugary hues, eclectic artwork and antique touches, it’s both a fun and relaxing space to return to after days spent out sightseeing in South Carolina’s most popular tourist city. Located just a short drive from the centre or twenty minutes on foot, it’s a good setting to experience living life like a local while still being within easy access of the city’s fantastic seafood restaurants, colonial mansions and historic sites, and scenic sandy beaches such as Folly Beach are just a twenty-minute drive away. Back at the house you’ll find all the mod cons you’ll need to settle in and feel right at home during your stay including a TV in each room, plush pillowtop beds, exposed brick fireplaces, a fresh new kitchen and two bikes that you’re free to borrow to get around the city. The outdoor spaces are a bonus too with two private porches that make great spots for lunch in the sun or summer sundowners, and late nights can be spent gathered around the fire pit in the garden lined with palm trees.
*This is a lived-in home so some personal possessions may be on show
*There is a security camera on the porch, driveway and entrance hall of the house but they won't violate guests' privacy and are just in place to prohibit any unregistered guests
*One of the bedrooms is a second living space and home office with pull-out sofa bed and a trundle bed that would be best suited for children
*The area is still up and coming and undergoing some changes, so some parts of it may look a little rough and run down
*You can bring along two pets at an additional fee of $100 per pet – pets are not allowed on the furniture (beds or sofas) or to be left unattended, please ask your host for the full list of pet rules
