(Reference number: 79070) This charming farmhouse beckons many a guest seeking time away from the daily nine to five. Set in the quintessentially English village of Bladon, on the edge of the Cotswolds, you’re in a beautiful part of the world to down tools and set off exploring. Take a stroll around the village to seek out the parish's links to Sir Winston Churchill. Enjoy a brisk walk over to Blenheim Palace (thirty minutes on foot) to marvel at the monumental baroque architecture. Or jump in the car to visit the chocolate box villages of Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford, both just 30 minutes drive away. When thoughts turn to food, you’ll find plenty of pubs and restaurants in the pretty neighbouring town of Woodstock (a two-minute drive away). However, we wouldn’t blame you if you’d rather just cosy up at home. There’s a traditional kitchen made for action, with a large farmhouse dining table at its heart. We hear the welcome basket hamper of eggs, bread, milk, teabags, and other goodies has all you need to whip up a hearty breakfast. And when it’s finally time to lay your sleepy head, climb the winding staircase to discover serene bedrooms (each with en-suites) with soft, muted tones and beautiful antique furniture. Just like a traditional English cottage should be. Home truths: *The owners of the home live in the adjoining property and share the driveway *There is parking for one vehicle (or two vehicles on request) * There are small supermarkets in the neighbouring villages of Woodstock and Long Hanborough to pick up supplies *There’s a complimentary welcome pack for your stay including; sachets of tea and coffee, small cartons of milk, dishwasher tablets, and some cleaning essentials
