"Content": "Welcome to 'The Batter' Dublin's Historic Stoneybatter and welcome to our beautiful red-brick Victorian home! \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWe are Fiona and Liam, and we are delighted to offer you a comfortable and authentic base in the heart of Dublin. \r\n\r\nWe have lived in Stoneybatter for over 20 years. Having travelled extensively from Australia and the USA to Africa, Europe, and Asia. We also have two very well behaved dogs, Rocky and Harry.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nPlease Note Our Policy\r\n\r\nThis is a lively family home, and the space is not set up for dedicated remote work or study. We host guests who are primarily in Ireland as interns, at English language school or on short-term working visits and who like to be busy and out and about. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Home & Amenities\r\n\r\nBuilt in 1863, our spacious 3-story Victorian house has been lovingly renovated to be clean, welcoming, and full of unique character.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOur comfortable guest rooms feature:\r\n\r\nLarge, comfortable double beds.\r\n\r\nHigh ceilings and large windows.\r\n\r\nDesk and chair.\r\n\r\nPlenty of space to unpack and relax.\r\n\r\nWifi 24/7\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nGuests have access to:\r\n\r\nClean kitchen for preparing quick and light meals.\r\n\r\nWashing machine facilities.\r\n\r\nSpacious, quiet city garden.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Neighbourhood: \r\n\r\nStoneybatter was recently voted Ireland's \\\"Coolest Neighbourhood\\\" and ranked 50th globally by Time Out Magazine.\r\n\r\nThis historic area, one of Dublin’s oldest continuously inhabited districts, has a fantastic sense of community and is packed with character. You’ll find great local gems just steps away, including: cool Cafes & Restaurants like Social Fabric, Grano, and The Cake Cafe.\r\n\r\nThere are plenty of bars, gyms, yoga studios, art studios, and local shops that are all extremely close by on foot. We are also 5 minutes away from the newly built Dublin Institute of Technology campus.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLocation & Transport\r\n\r\nEverything in Dublin City is highly walkable from our door, as Dublin is a relatively small city by global standards.\r\n\r\n5 minutes walk to the vast green space of the Phoenix Park.\r\n\r\n10 minutes walk to Heuston Train Station.\r\n\r\n10 minutes walk to the Luas Green Line: The Broadstone, University stop is within walking distance and Luas Red Line: Stops like Museum and Smithfield are also a short walk away.\r\n\r\n15-20 minutes walk to Dublin City Centre and O'Connell Street.\r\n\r\nBus Connect routes C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, N2 and 70 and bus routes 37, 39 and 39a\r\n\r\nI highly recommend checking a journey planner like the Transport for Ireland (TFI) app\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRules\r\n\r\nNo overnight visitors are allowed\r\n\r\nCheck out is before 12 noon\r\n\r\nCheck in can be flexible in advance\r\n\r\nPlease note that payment is due in full upon check in. \r\n\r\nIn cases of early departure, the payment is non-refundable"
