The hearth in the living room with its wood-burner is pure cottage aesthetic, but the zig-zag sofa and dusky pink walls are all style. Two full kitchens mean you can choose between a roast dinner done right in the range, or cooking 21st-century-style with the electric oven and induction hob. Upstairs, each bedroom has its own character – a single room with pink bunting for kids, a twin room in the eaves, a daring double in navy and yellow, and a calming, sunny master with an arched window. There’s also an office room if you need to get some work done.
