"Content": "Nonaim Lodge Bed & Breakfast is set in a quiet and very secluded rural location in Connemara among the idyllic surroundings of lake, woodlands and mountains it is the ideal “get away from it all” holiday for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, walkers/hikers and fishermen. \r\n\r\nThe Lodge is located on a circa 3 acre site, bounded for much of its length by the charming Shannawagh stream, the gentle sounds of which can be heard throughout the grounds.\r\n\r\nOne of the area’s native timber woodlands of Oak, Ash, Birch and Holly provides another boundary and there are stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains from the Lodge. \r\n\r\nNonaim Lodge caters for modern travellers, with larger guest bedrooms with T.V., free WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities in each room. The public areas, including the dining room and guest lounge room, are bright and spacious allowing guests to enjoy high standards of accommodation in Connemara Ireland.\r\n\r\nThere is a very comfortable guest lounge with a small but interesting library, C.D. Player and Radio. The lounge has a bright and cheerful airiness with superb views of lake, mountain and nearby woodland.\r\n\r\nThe comfortable patio area is also most popular with guests to sit and relax in the garden setting, reading or simply taking in the marvelous scenery. You can be assured that the non-anglers stay at Nonaim Lodge will be just as enjoyable as it is for the angling guests.\r\n\r\nAll the bedrooms at Nonaim Lodge are furnished to a high level and this, together with the serenity of the setting, should ensure a good nights sleep for all guests.\r\n\r\nNonaim Lodge has 5 en-suite guest bedrooms, most of them with extensive lake views. Bedrooms consist of one family sized bedroom, two triple and two double/twin, all with full en-suite facilities, T.V. and tea/coffee making facilities.\r\n\r\nNonaim Lodge is located a mere 150 metres from Lough Corrib and has its own jetty. It is located on the Western Way walking trail which leads around the lake shore to the scenic area of Maum (where director John Ford filmed “The Quiet Man”). There are many other walks available around Nonaim Lodge – one to suit any level of fitness. \r\n\r\nGuests enjoy exploring the vastness of Lough Corrib with its hundreds of islands bringing a picnic, swim or simply to relax on a quiet island. The most famous island being Inchagoill island with its ancient churches one of which is early 6th Century and is reputed to be the burial place of St. Patrick’s nephew.\r\n\r\nOther activities include: Shopping in Galway and Oughterard - Spend a morning browsing the shops in Oughterard then continue on to Galway - “The City of the Tribes”. Golfing - There is a range of excellent golf courses throughout Connemara and Galway including one in Oughterard. Oughterard also has a Pitch and Putt course for the more leisurely. Horse Riding - Horse riding facilities are available nearby and cater for all ages and abilities."
