DescriptionSchull is a popular seaside town on the Mizen Peninsula in west Cork. It lies between the towns of Ballydehob and Toormore and is accessed via the R592. Schull is approx. 106 km to the south-west of Cork city and approx. 100 km south of Killarney.
Schull boasts a very sheltered harbour and so has remained one of west Cork’s most popular destinations for sailing enthusiasts throughout the last number of decades. The subject property is located on the north side of the Main Street, between the junctions with Ardmanagh Road and Pier Road. This is a prime town centre location within a short walking distance of Schull Harbour.
The main part of the property comprises an impressive terrace of traditional retail units, fronting directly on to the Main Street with storage accommodation overhead. The terrace is two storey with a part dormer floor and is of traditional masonry construction with plastered elevations and a pitched slate covered roof. A portion of the terrace is rented and trades as a popular gift shop.
An opening within the terrace provides access to a paved rear courtyard with two storey buildings to all sides. These buildings formerly operated as a public bar / restaurant, catering kitchen, bakery, stores and staff accommodation.
