Policy ECON 1 in the Town Plan states that it is the policy of the council to ensure that sufficient lands are zoned to facilitate various types of employment generating industries at appropriate locations having particular regard to small start-up industries ….” . Specific Objective E3 in the Town Plan states … supports co-operation with relevant stakeholders to support and facilitate the economic development of Carrick on Suir”. Bidding Requirements All bids must be accompanied by a detailed project proposal for the site. The project proposal must set out in no more than four A4 pages how the future development of the site will conform to policy ECON 1. Proposals need to take account of the neighbouring developments, residential to the west and business centre to the south, commercial to the north and industrial to the east.
