From Roscrea:
Begin by driving in the direction of Shinrone/Cloughjordan. From the bottom of either Limerick Street or Abbey Street, turn right at the nearby junction, following signage for Shinrone. Continue straight for about 4 miles until you see Milltown Garden Centre on a bend. Turn left here in the direction of Cloughjordan & continue for about 3 miles, passing a right hand T-junction for Shinrone. Take the next T-junction right, in the direction of Borrisokane. Continue for about 2 miles until you meet a T-junction. Turn right and take the immediate left (a staggered junction). Continue for about 1.5 miles – the site is located along the right hand side of the road, there is a “For Sale” signpost outside it and the site is fenced off (if you continue past the site, you will meet the entrance to Sopwell Hall Estate on the left).
From Nenagh:
Drive in the direction of Borrisokane. Drive through the town and towards the end you will see a right hand junction for Roscrea & Birr. Continue along this road for about 4 miles and you will see a right hand junction, with a signpost for Roscrea / Shinrone. Turn right here & continue straight, for about 3 miles. Continue past a signboard for Gurteen Agricultural college on the right and also the entrance to Sopwell Hall Estate on the right. The site will be on the left hand side of the road, there is a “For Sale” signpost outside it and the site is fenced off.
From Birr:
From the County Arms Hotel, drive in the direction of Roscrea for ¼ mile. Turn right at the junction for Galway. Continue through Riverstown, veering left once you have drive over the bridge. Continue to the next bridge and veer left (which is continuing straight on), rather than taking the right in the direction of Nenagh. Drive for about 4 miles, until you meet The Pike Crossroads (with a Church on the left and a directional signboard for Ballingarry 1 mile on the right). Continue straight until you meet a staggered crossroads, with a signpost for Borrisokane to the right and Roscrea/Shrinrone to the left (there is a newly renovated cottage at this junction). Turn right for Borrisokane and continue for about 1.5 miles – the site is located along the right hand side of the road, there is a “For Sale” signpost outside it and the site is fenced off.
