Newsletter: Leasing & Renting Issue

MyHome is all about leasing and renting this month. Our January newsletter contains a useful guide to renting which is jam packed with information on how to find the perfect place to rent, what is a "normal" deposit, how to negotiate and more. If your thinking of buying or would like to buy but don’t have the finances we have reviewed the pros and cons of the rent to buy scheme and why it might be viable / alternative option for you. We have shortlisted some rent to buy schemes currently available around the country.  

This month we also take a look at how availing of the rent a room scheme can help you with your mortgage repayments. Did you know? If you rent a room or rooms in your home to private tenants, the rental income you earn will be exempt from tax up to a maximum limit of €10,000. The rent paid can be put towards your mortgage repayments. We have summed up the rules, rates and how to apply.
