A superb holiday base with numerous attractions locally from walking in the Slieve Bloom Mountains and Lough Boor Parklands, to vistiting Leap Castle, Birr Castle Demsene, Conmacnoise heritage site. Galway Cork the Cliffs of Moher, Kilkenny city are all within a 2 hour drive. There are 2 pubs and 2 shops in the village. There is a traditional music session locally every Wednesday night.
