As a firm we have been in business in Ennis Town since 1895 and have been registered Auctioneers since 1968. The auctioneering business was founded by Joseph Daly, a full member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV) and is now managed by Liam Daly, a graduate of GMIT (Business Studies Diploma – Property Mgt), Oxford Brookes University (B.Sc. Estate Mgt) and who is also a full member of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute (IAVI), the Irish Property Facilities Management Association (IPFMA), and an associate of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb)


Liam began his career working in Ennis in 1997, then moving to GVA Donal O'Buachallas, Property Consultants, in Dublin, where he developed an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Compulsory Purchase Orders and the commercial property rating system.


Prior to returning to Ennis to take up the running of Joseph Daly and Associates, Liam spent six years as Development Manager for McDonald's Restaurants of Ireland. In this role he was responsible for all aspects of property and construction undertaken by the company. This has brought with it a vast array of property expertise having been involved in a number of multi-million euro projects such as the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, Dublin Airport, Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork and more recently the new Dundrum Town Shopping Centre in Dublin.


Liam has also been involved in a number of regional shopping centres and retail parks throughout the country such as the Castletroy Shopping Centre (Limerick), the Jetland Shopping Centre (Limerick), Blackpool Shopping Centre (Cork), Ashbourne Town Centre, Northside Shopping Centre (Dublin), Westside Shopping Centre (Galway) Longford Retail Park, and more recently in his capacity as a consultant to McDonald's , Dungarvan Shopping Centre, Airside Retail Park ( Swords) and Sligo Retail Park. Liam has also been involved in dealing with the majority of instructional and private investments firms such as Irish Life, Green Property, Treasury Holdings, Grovnor Estates, Aer Rianta , Chesterbrige, O'Callaghan Properties to name but a few.


Liam took over the operations of Joseph Daly & Associates in 2006 and his first step in the management of the company was to join the Property Partners network. Since then he has become Commercial Director for the Property Partners Group and played an integral part in forging the groups commercial association with Collier Jackson Stops in 2008. Collier Jackson Stops is one of Irelands leading commercial agencies. Colliers Jackson Stops are members of the Colliers CRE plc with over 260 offices throughout more than 55 counties worldwide.

Liam is also a part-time lecturer at the Athlone Institute of Technology on their course in Auctioneering, which is run in conjunction with the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers.
