Smithfield Area Guide

Smithfield is in Dublin city centre on the northside. Regenerated in recent years with new apartments and retail units, it is a ten minutes walk to O'Connell Street or a two minute ride on the LUAS line. The focal point is the public square, formerly an open market, now called Smithfield Plaza, but known locally as Smithfield Market. The famous Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery is located in Smithfield.
