Grand Canal Dk Area Guide

Grand Canal dock is an area in Ringsend (Dublin 4) near Dublin city centre. It is an enclosed harbour between the River Liffey and the Grand Canal, surrounded by the Grand Canal Docks. It has its own railway station (also known as Barrow Street Station) and is an approx 10 minute walk to Trinity College, Dail Eireann, IFSC, Merrion Square, St Stephen's Green, Ballsbridge and the RDS. The Grand Canal Square is the centerpiece of the Grand Canal Dock area, designed by renowned architect, Martha Schwartz. The square is 10,000 sq metres and is located at the west end of Grand Canal Dock facing on to the water, with shops, cafés, restaurants and a hotel.
