Ballymun Area Guide

Ballymun is on Dublin's northside close to Dublin Airport. Ballymun famed for the Ballymun flats has been regenerated in the last number of years, where inner city flats built in the 1960s have been replaced with new housing developments and commercial areas. Ballymun is now home to IKEA which opened its doors in the summer of 2009. There are also several hotels, convenience shops and pubs in the area. Transport links include the 13, 13a, 17a, 220, 4 and 40n bus. Nearby areas to Ballymun include Whitehall, Santry, Griffith Avenue, Phibsborough, Glasnevin and Poppintree.
